Job summary

Ferguson in Columbus, OH is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The role focuses on preparing pricing proposals, supporting bids, and providing product information to drive sales in the utility market segment.

Located in Columbus, the position involves working across the warehouse, yard, and sales counter, with training provided. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM; base pay starts around $21 per hour and current range is $18.71–$29.92 hourly, plus bonus

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a sales support, customer service, or related role.
• Experience in Waterworks or Construction is a plus.
• Comfort with physically demanding work.
• Ability to transition between warehouse, yard, counter and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed pricing proposals and quotations for products and services across various projects.
• Support new sales opportunities by monitoring bids, researching projects, and assisting with prospecting efforts.
• Provide product and technical information to outside sales representatives to generate sales.
• Develop and maintain customer documentation with product information and solution details.
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution.
• Oversee the full Order-to-Invoice cycle and ensure quality standards are upheld.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
• Role includes training and work in warehouse, yard, and at the sales counter.
