OrePac Building Products is seeking an Inside Sales & Service Manager to oversee our inside sales and service teams within a designated region. You will manage staffing, engagement, and accountability, while coordinating with operations to resolve delivery issues and improve service levels.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with leadership experience in a customer-focused environment. Travel to branches within the region is expected.

Pay & FSLA Status:Competitive Compensation, D.O.E.; Salary exempt


Regular Schedule & Shift:Monday – Friday; Day shift


Regular Weekly Hours:Full-time/40 hours per week (overtime as needed)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales & Service Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the inside sales and service teams within their assigned region. This position will work directly with their immediate supervisor and have full authority in all areas regarding staffing, employee engagement and development, and accountability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage staffing in accordance with company policies and applicable state and federal laws, including:

    • Interviewing and hiring qualified candidates.

    • Training, developing, and appraising employees (including new hire orientation and performance reviews).

    • Planning, assigning, and directing work.

    • Rewarding and disciplining employees (including termination).

    • Taking corrective action as necessary in a timely manner.

    • Addressing complaints and resolving personnel issues.



  • Responsible for leading and directing the inside sales and service teams in the assigned region with limited participation in daily functions, including: taking customer phone calls, performing order entry, and pro-actively selling.

  • Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) for service tickets and customer concerns. Responsible for data input of the service ticket, scheduling, and routing. Manage the service calendar for resolution through OrePac Service. Responsible for coordinating with Operations to resolve delivery errors, short shipments, returns of the damaged product, and other related issues.

  • Collaborate with Service/Field Technicians to troubleshoot service-related issues. Coordinate necessary materials and tools to resolve issues and schedule Field/Service Technicians to follow up.

  • Prepare and participate fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building, and professional development classes.

  • Lead and promote a culture of safety within the assigned branches. Ensure adherence to the policies and procedures of the OrePac safety program.

  • Expected to travel to the branches within the assigned region as needed throughout the month.


REQUIRED SKILLS:


  • Ability to travel to the assigned branches as needed.

  • Experience in leading teams, including the ability to effectively and efficiently handle personnel conflicts while successfully driving company and department initiatives and goals.

  • Ability to problem solve minor to complex challenges within the department utilizing the tools and resources available and elevate the matter when appropriate.

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve escalated customer concerns and complaints in a professional, effective, and timely manner.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with the ability to re-prioritize throughout the day while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Ability to motivate, positively influence, and inspire team members and others within the branch.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, area, and volume.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Knowledge base in building materials is preferred. Specific knowledge of doors is required.

  • Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.

  • Great organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to make decisions that are in line with OrePac standards.

  • Strong customer service orientation and high level of attention to detail.

  • Ability to continuously develop knowledge of the industry and competition within a given market and the ability to channel that knowledge to pivot sales objectives, tactics, and strategies.

  • Demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment.


REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant sales and industry experience, including previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be accepted in place of the education and/or experience requirements listed for this role.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Regularly required to see, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision.

  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

  • Occasionally required to lift/move/manipulate up to 50 pounds and team lift/move/manipulate up to 100 pounds.

  • Occasionally required to bend, reach, and climb tall ladders and stairs.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • This position operates in a professional office environment.

  • This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

  • The work environment is generally quiet.

  • This position requires travel to the assigned branches as needed.

  • All employees are expected to wear clothing appropriate for the nature of OrePac business and the type of work being performed. Clothing should be neat, clean, and tasteful.

  • Comply with company drug testing policies and procedures.

  • Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies. OrePac will provide required PPE to employees.
