Job summary

Amphenol CIT is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to lead the Inside Sales organization, drive performance, and ensure speed and accuracy in the quote-to-order process. You will coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to support revenue growth and forecast reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in inside sales or related roles, and proven leadership of customer-facing teams, with experience in manufacturing, RF interconnect, aerospace, or defense preferred.

  • Five or more years of inside sales, customer service, sales operations, or manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum three years leading customer-facing teams.
  • Experience within manufacturing, RF interconnect, aerospace, defense, or related industries preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inside Sales team to achieve department objectives through performance management, training, mentoring, and accountability.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture emphasizing responsiveness, professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the quote-to-order process, ensuring timely, accurate quotations, order processing, and exceptional customer support.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs including quote turnaround time, order accuracy, customer responsiveness, forecast accuracy, and quote conversion rates.
  • Manage forecasting, pipeline visibility, and sales performance analysis to support business planning and revenue objectives.
  • Partner with Outside Sales, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and other departments to ensure successful execution of customer requirements.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team productivity through ERP/CRM and other systems.
  • Resolve complex customer issues and escalations with timely communication and resolution.
  • Support strategic sales initiatives by reviewing pricing opportunities, developing account strategies, and participating in customer meetings and business reviews.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, best practices, and training programs to support scalable growth and operational excellence.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing team members while promoting engagement and development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and driving the performance of the Inside Sales organization. This role ensures the team delivers exceptional customer service, executes the quote-to-order process with speed and accuracy, maintains reliable forecasting, and partners cross-functionally to support revenue growth.

The Inside Sales Manager establishes the processes, expectations, and accountability necessary for a high-performing team. They serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Pricing, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Service, ensuring internal alignment while continuously improving customer experience and operational efficiency.

Success in this role is measured by team performance, forecast accuracy, response time, customer satisfaction, and execution against company sales objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inside Sales team to achieve department objectives through effective performance management, training, mentoring, and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of inside sales, customer service, sales operations, or manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum three years leading customer-facing teams.
  • Experience within manufacturing, RF interconnect, aerospace, defense, or related industries preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

As part of their job duties, the employee must sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer. They frequently use their hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. SALARY INFORMATION:

According to several states' laws, this position's salary range falls between $120,000 and $150,000 annually. However, this salary information is merely a general guideline. When extending an offer, Amphenol CDI considers various factors such as the position's responsibilities, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, essential skills, internal pay equity, and market considerations.
