The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through customer engagement, lead conversion, sales pipeline management, and commercial process excellence. This position leads the inside sales function and is accountable for transforming demand into revenue by managing customer inquiries, qualifying opportunities, supporting channel and distributor engagement, and advancing opportunities through the sales funnel. The role owns lead management strategy, sales development processes, CRM governance, and commercial analytics while leveraging AI, automation, and digital selling tools to improve team productivity, customer responsiveness, forecasting accuracy, and revenue performance. Working closely with Regional Sales Managers, distributors, marketing, and customer experience teams, the Inside Sales Manager ensures high-value opportunities are identified, prioritized, and advanced to successful order conversion.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop Inside Sales Representatives and other assigned personnel.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures driving pipeline and sales growth.
  • Provide guidance and support to commercial teams regarding lead management and CRM best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, customer focus, and data-driven decision making.
Sales Growth, Customer Engagement & Revenue Generation
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Customer Experience teams to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Own the global lead management process from inquiry through revenue attribution.
  • Serve as a direct point of contact for strategic, high-value, or complex customer inquiries.
  • Qualify opportunities and ensure timely customer engagement across all regions and channels.
  • Partner with Sales Managers, channel partners, and key stakeholders to advance opportunities and remove barriers to conversion.
  • Drive continuous growth in lead volume, lead quality, conversion rates, and lead-generated revenue.
  • Oversee lead qualification standards, routing rules, response-time expectations, and follow-up processes.
  • Monitor lead pipeline performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion from lead to opportunity to quote and order.
  • Develop programs and initiatives to expand customer acquisition and accelerate pipeline growth.
  • Measure and communicate lead-generated revenue performance to commercial leadership.
CRM Ownership & Governance
  • Serve as the business owner of CRM process adoption.
  • Define CRM standards, workflows, data structures, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and technology partners on system enhancements, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain data quality standards and ensure consistent use of CRM processes across regions and business segments.
  • Develop and enforce CRM best practices, documentation, and training materials.
  • Lead user adoption initiatives and provide guidance on CRM utilization.
Digital Selling & Commercial Operations
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive commercial processes and improve customer responsiveness.
  • Enable the inside sales team to use AI for account research, customer preparation, proposal support, application guidance, and follow-up communications.
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to evaluate and implement emerging sales technologies.
  • Develop best practices for responsible use of AI within commercial workflows.
  • Monitor business impact and ROI of AI and digital selling initiatives.
Analytics & Performance Reporting
  • Develop and maintain commercial dashboards and executive reporting.
  • Analyze customer, lead, and revenue data to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Track distributor and sales team responsiveness to lead opportunities.
  • Provide regular performance reporting and recommendations to business leadership.
  • Support strategic initiatives through market, customer, and commercial analytics.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in sales operations, inside sales, commercial analytics, CRM administration, or related commercial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience driving measurable revenue growth through lead management and sales process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, customer acquisition processes, sales funnels, and commercial reporting.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Marketing, IT, and Customer Experience teams.
  • Experience managing and developing personnel preferred.

  • CRM platforms, with Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools.
  • Microsoft 365, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Sales and marketing automation platforms.
  • Data visualization and dashboard development tools.
