Job summary

Meier Supply Co., Inc. is hiring for a Counter Sales/Warehouse role in Scranton, PA. You will assist customers, handle parts sourcing and shipping, and provide inside sales support when needed. A strong emphasis on service, teamwork, and reliability drives the culture.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule with benefits after 90 days, including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and life insurance. Prior delivery driver experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Delivery driver experience of at least one year is preferred.
• Box truck experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in and phone customers at the counter and source/ship parts.
• Provide customer product/service needs via computer/catalog/phone.
• Keep shelves organized and restocked; apply upsell techniques.
• Handle warranty administration and inventory control; potential to move into Inside Sales.

JOB OVERVIEW AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibility includes supporting counter sales. You will also be providing warehouse coverage and serving as a backup driver. The work schedule may vary but is expected to be from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position will be reviewed after 90 days and will be offered benefits (including medical/dental/vision, 401K, paid holidays, paid time off, life insurance, disability pay, plus more) for the incumbent who is a good long-term fit or our leading team. The candidate will help out at the Counter with customers, with Inside Sales Training. There is a potential to move to Inside Sales, duties include the following:

• Service walk-in and telephone customers and assist with sourcing and shipping parts, inventory control and warranty administration.
• Provide customer product and service needs by researching products via computer system, catalog, telephone or other reference sources.
• Arrange stock on shelves or racks in sales area and keeps merchandise in order.
• Apply suggestive selling techniques and up sells to current and prospective customers.
• Conduct outgoing customer sales or service calls and resolve customer complaints.
• Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product.

Salary: $20-$23 an hour, depending on experience
