Job summary

Midwest Veterinary Supply in Dallas, Texas seeks an Inside Sales Equine Specialist to provide outstanding customer service over the phone, support clinics with promotions, pricing, and product updates, and drive sales for Equine accounts.

The role requires one year in the veterinary industry, Equine experience, and strong communication, organizational, and data-entry skills. Travel may be occasional, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, holidays, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a veterinary industry-related position.
• Equine experience required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong listening and verbal communication skills including diplomacy and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with detailed information.
• Basic computer/data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Take orders for products over the phone from veterinary customers, field sales reps, and manufacturers and enter them into the system.
• Make outbound calls to Equine accounts and clinics to solicit orders and provide product information.
• Answer Equine questions for Inside/Outside Sales reps and manufacturers reps; collaborate with Equine marketing and purchasing on promotions and rebates.
• Attend monthly Equine training and support colleagues with sales information and readiness.
• Complete research for clinic inquiries and send product information as requested.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Midwest Veterinary Supply is seeking an Inside Sales Equine Specialistfor our Dallas, Texas call center.

Job Summary:

Provide the best customer service possible in a positive and professional manner, by providing clinics with information on promotions, pricing, product updates, answers to questions and speedy resolution of their concerns and problems. Provide the same quality of service to internal customers by supporting their efforts which will ultimately enhance the quality of service and relationship Midwest Veterinary has with its clients.

Essential Job Functions:

• Take orders for products over the phone from our veterinary customers, field sales representatives, and manufacture representatives and enter them into the system. Make outbound calls to Equine accounts and clinics in an effort to solicit orders and provide information related to new products and promotions.
• Answer Equine questions for Inside Sales Representatives, Outside Sales Representatives, and manufacture representatives at respective branch. Work closely with Equine marketing and purchasing departments to create sales detail sheets, promotions, and spiffs and roll out promotions, spiffs and rebate or buy-in programs at respective branch. Attend monthly Equine training.
• Resolve unique demands to include: problem solving, completion of paperwork for credits, call tags, price quotes, special orders, address change requests and sales blitz tallies. Read, understand and organize mail, fax and emails and listen to voice mail correspondence received from internal and external customers as they relate to products, promotions and procedures.
• Complete research as a result of clinic inquiries and fax or mail product information as requested.
• Completes other duties, assignments and special projects as requested.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
• High School Diploma or equivalency required
• Minimum of one year experience in veterinary industry-related position required.
• Equine experience required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Strong listening and verbal communication skills including the ability to demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work accurately with highly detailed information
• Ability to learn a vast array of product lines
• Basic computer skills to include data entry

Equipment Used:

Regularly uses typical office equipment including computer keyboard and terminal, telephone, fax and copier.

Work is typically performed in an office environment Monday through Friday. Working more than 40 hours per workweek may be required. Weekend availability required rarely. Occasional local and/or overnight travel may be required rarely.
