Job summary

Airgas is seeking an Inside Sales Associate in Marinette, WI to focus on selling to customers over the phone and supporting the Sales Team. You will manage key accounts with the Branch Manager and handle complex inventory orders, ensuring prompt, thoughtful responses and high customer satisfaction.

Applicants should have prior inside sales or customer service experience, strong communication, and be prepared to obtain forklift certification.

What you will do

• The Inside Sales Associate focuses on selling to customers over the phone.
• The Inside Sales Associate resolves customer account needs and fostering long-term satisfaction through dedicated service and coordination.
• This position is centered on selling and or nurturing existing relationships and supporting the Sales Team.
• Responsible for managing key accounts with the support of the Branch Manager.
• Responsible for handling complex inventory order management for those key accounts.
• Ensure alignment on customer account needs by resolving inquiries promptly and thoughtfully.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain excellent records and account health.
• Provide meaningful assistance to ensure clients feel supported and heard.
• Foster a sense of partnership across departments to resolve complex inquiries efficiently.
• Maintain a collaborative and team-oriented approach to daily office operations.
• Provide backup support for the branch counter by helping with the walk-in traffic, answering customer questions, completing cylinder exchange, help organize the showroom.
• Will obtain forklift certification to handle branch cylinders.

Required Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior customer service and/or inside sales related experience required.
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing; listens effectively and clarifies information as needed; works well with others in a team environment across the organization knowing who to engage to achieve results.
• Uses candor and sensitivity in their dealings with others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional post high school education and/or training preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Industrial Gas and/or Welding experience preferred.
