SPEC Building Materials Corporation, a leading wholesale distributor of building materials, is hiring an Inside Sales/Customer Service Associate to manage order placement, sales support, and customer relations for commercial and residential roofing contractors. The role is full‑time with a base salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year and is located at 2655 N. Airport Commerce, Springfield, Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Selling building materials from the customer service counter.
• Maintaining and growing the existing customer base through prospecting, account development, quoting, and follow‑up.
• Sourcing special order items for contractors.
• Ensuring all customer sales orders are complete and accurate.
• Advising customers on inventory levels and pricing.
• Handling cash application and reporting.
• Answering phones and directing calls.
• Scheduling and answering questions regarding deliveries.

Requirements

• Minimum education: GED or high school diploma.
• Working knowledge of computers and software.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Strong math skills.
