Job summary

Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal is seeking an Inside Construction Manager to support project administration, scheduling, financial tracking, and stakeholder communication from an office. You will align with Outside Project Managers to ensure documentation, controls, and progress meet objectives.

The role requires coordinating across engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and customers, managing change, budgets, and dashboards, and ensuring audit-ready records for multiple

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of construction coordination, project management, telecommunications, utility, or infrastructure experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles.
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and project-tracking software skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews contract and estimate for completeness of take-off, scope, pricing, and contract value.
  • Coordinates contract scope issues with estimate and resolves discrepancies.
  • Partners with Outside Project Managers to manage projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Generate purchase requisitions for roof system materials and subcontractors.
  • Review drawings and RFIs on pricing and responds in timely fashion.
  • Maintain project schedules, milestones, and status reporting.
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Maintain project files, permits, contracts, and construction records.

Position Summary:

The Ins i de Construction Manager supports the successful execution of construction projects by managing project administration, scheduling, financia l tracking, contractor coo r dination, reporting, and customer deliverablesfro m an office environment. Working close l y with Outside Project Managers, this r ole serves as the central point o f coordination for projec t documentation, projec t controls, and stakeholder communicationsto ensure constructio n projects progress efficiently and meet company objectives

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Rev i ews contrac t and estima t e with estimator for completeness of tak e -off, scope, pricing and contract value.
  • Coordinates all issues of contrac t scope with the estimate and resolves any issues and/or discrepancies.
  • Partne r with Outside Project Managers to manage construction projects from initiation through c l oseout.
  • Generate purchase r equisition for purchase of ma i n roof system(s ) materials and subcontractors if required.
  • Rev i ew all new issue drawings and requests for informa tion on pric i ng and responds i n time l y fashion.
  • Manage change order pricing process and utilize estima t ing when required.
  • Maintain project schedules, milestones, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate activities between engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and cus t omers.
  • Monitor projec t progress and identify schedule risks or de l ays
  • Escalate projec t issues requiring management attention
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Rev i ew contractor invoices for accuracy and alignment with completed work.
  • Process purchase orders and change orde r requests.
  • Maintain project financ i al records and reporting dashboa r ds.
  • Support monthly budget reviews and forecasting activities.
  • Coordinate contractor onboa r ding, compliance requirements, and documentation.
  • Monitor contractor deliverables and project commitments.
  • Track material orders and de l ive r y schedules.
  • Assist in resolving contracto r -related administrative issues.
  • Provide routine project upda t es to interna l and external s t akeholders.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings.
  • Docu m ent meeting notes, ac tion items, and follo w -up activities.
  • Maintain communication logs and custome r records.
  • Maintain project files, permits, contracts, and construction records.
  • Ensure project documentation is comple t e and audit ready.
  • Track permit status, inspections, and closeout requiremen t s.
  • Support compliance with company, cus t omer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and mainta i n projec t dashboa r ds and performance metrics.
  • Generate weekly and monthly project sta t us reports.
  • Track key pe r formance indicators including schedule adhe r ence, budget performance, and project co m pletion milestones.
  • Support continuous process improvemen t initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree i n construction managemen t , Business, Engineering, or related field, or equ i va l en t experience.
  • 3+ years of construction coordination, project management, telecommunications, utility, or infrastruc t ur e experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects.
  • Familiarity with permitting, righ t -of-way, and utility cons t ruction processes.
  • PMP, CCM, or re l ated project management certification .
