Job summary

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital seeks a Unit Therapist to provide counseling services for patients and families, assess therapeutic needs, and develop treatment objectives. You will be the primary contact for patients and families, coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and external partners.

Responsibilities include biopsychosocial assessments, creating treatment plans, educating families, and collaborating with community resources.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in social work, mental health counseling or related field.
• One year direct clinical experience with psychiatric diagnoses.
• Current Florida license such as LCSW/LMFT/LMHC or LMHCI preferred.
• Availability for hospital and department orientations (M-F).
• Ability to pass Level 2 Background Investigation.

Responsibilities

• Biopsychosocial assessments.
• Establishing a treatment plan.
• Collateral contacts with family and support networks.
• Patient and family education on diagnosis and resources.
• Advocacy and care coordination for discharge planning.
• Active member of the multi-disciplinary inpatient treatment team.
