Job summary

Dunes Surgical Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, coordinate, and oversee patient care in the Recovery Care Center. The role requires adherence to nursing standards and hospital policies, with communication across the care team.

Qualifications

Plans, coordinates, and oversees care for patients in the Recovery Care Center department.Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Dunes Surgical Hospital.Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to other team members.May have additional responsibilities as designated by the manager, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and projects.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• The registered nurse collects comprehensive data pertinent to the healthcare consumer’s health or the situation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Will be required to lift patients frequently requiring the ability to lift 100 pounds.
• Must be able to exert at least 25 pounds of force to assist with patient transports.
• Frequent standing, bending and stooping involved.
• Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
• Dexterity: Frequent repetitive motion of hands/wrist involved.
• Will be working in a clean, well-lighted area
• May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity.
• Hazards and Risks: Direct patient contact with possible exposure to communicable diseases, exposure to radiation, anesthetic scavenger gases, and CRT.
