Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a master's degree.
• Current California Physician Assistant license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Must have a current DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, secondary, and tertiary care within scope of practice and policies.
• Services include taking histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests and therapies, and furnishing drugs and devices as needed.
• Document the consultation and new patient note.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory and imaging evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care with the attending physician.
• Perform routine procedures pertinent to the practice and privileges granted.
• Independently manage follow-up cases including imaging, care, and medication orders.
• Interpret imaging and communicate with attending physician about changes.
• Prescribe and counsel patients on narcotic use safety.
• Review treatment plans with patients and families.
