Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in behavioral health settings preferred.
• Experience with individual and group counseling.
• Ability to document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Responsibilities

• Interview and assess clients to determine eligibility for substance use treatment.
• Provide individual and group counseling and psycho-educational classes.
• Coordinate relapse prevention planning and aftercare services.
• Prepare and maintain confidential client records per HHSC/DSHS standards.
• Monitor group participation and therapeutic progress.
• Fulfill required duties including disaster response or COOP activation when needed.
