Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System is seeking a staff psychologist to provide direct patient care on an inpatient unit. The role includes delivering evidence-based psychotherapies, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and teaching trainees.

Eligible for EDRP; supports research opportunities and program development within Psychology and Psychiatry divisions. Telework not available; standard daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology from APA/CPA/PCSAS-accredited program.
• Current full, unrestricted license to practice psychology.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Experience meeting KSAs for staff psychologist levels GS-11 to GS-13.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Veterans with mental health disorders on an inpatient unit.
• Deliver a full range of brief individual and group psychotherapies using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient care issues and treatment planning.
• Teach and supervise psychology practicum students and interns as required.
• Participate in program development, SOPs, and quality improvement initiatives.
