Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for PRN inpatient rehab and acute care settings. You will evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, develop individualized plans, and ensure compliance with clinical standards.

Requires state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist; ASHA CCC or CFY in progress preferred; BLS certification; valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist.
• When working at a Sanford Health Facility: Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by ASHA or CFY in progress.
• May require valid driver's license.
• Obtains and maintains required competencies and certifications; BLS required or within first 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Administers speech and language evaluations and plans treatments.
• Develops individualized treatment plans based on diagnoses.
• Provides speech-language services and monitors progression.
• Instructs clients in therapeutic exercises and provides consultation.
• Ensures adherence to standards, policies, and quality requirements.
• May supervise assistants, aides, and students; provide ongoing education and training.
• Work may focus on post-acute, long-term care and home health settings where applicable.
