HSHS St. John’s Hospital is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join the Inpatient/Acute Care Speech Therapy team in Springfield, IL. The PRN position offers day shifts, with responsibilities including evaluation, planning, and execution of therapy plans.

Ideal candidates will hold state licensure or eligibility, a master’s or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and BLS certification or completion within 90 days. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited program in Speech-Language Pathology meeting state licensure requirements.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate assigned patients and develop/implement treatment plans as outlined by the plan of care.
  • Direct and delegate discipline-specific therapy services.
  • Educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and self-professional development.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary teams and perform other professional duties related to patient care and therapy services.
