Job summary

Shepherd Center is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to provide foundational patient care for individuals with complex conditions. The role emphasizes ethical practice, patient safety, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The RN will support education for patients and families, document care accurately, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement within a high-acuity rehabilitation setting in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program from an accredited college or university.
• Active Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year RN experience preferred.
• ACLS and appropriate specialty certification may be required after time.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care in alignment with ethical standards and safety guidelines.
• Promote high-quality care, patient privacy, and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans.
• Safely administer medications and document observations.
• Educate patients and families for self-management and ongoing care.
• Serve as a clinical preceptor for new staff/students and support orientation.
