Job summary

UMMC in Jackson, MS seeks an RN I-Inpatient to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in an assigned unit. The role coordinates scheduling, records, and admissions, and counsels patients and families on treatments.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on condition, diet, medications, and treatment plans.

• Maintains accurate patient records and coordinates admissions processes.
• Acts as preceptor and participates in nursing councils or committees.
• Reports issues to supervisor and contributes to department projects.
