Job summary

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse to assess patient health problems, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.

The RN will administer nursing care and medications, monitor for reactions, and guide patients on health maintenance. This full-time night-shift role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants, 0.90 FTE, and a $5.00/hour night shift differential.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA BLS certification required prior to end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care and medications; monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records.
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patients' conditions.
