Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare – New River Valley Inpatient in Radford, VA is seeking an RN to provide nursing care to clients in treatment for substance use disorders and behavioral health concerns. Schedule: Per Diem or as needed, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; pay: $33–$39/hour.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented approach to patient care.
• Interest or experience in behavioral health or withdrawal management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and clinical services in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
• Complete nursing assessments, reassessments, admissions, and ongoing clinical documentation.
• Administer medications and monitor effectiveness, side effects, and client response.
• Monitor and implement withdrawal management protocols, including CIWA, COWS, and other clinical assessment tools.
• Provide medication education, health education, and nursing support to clients and families.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical providers during assessments, medication management, and treatment planning.
• Monitor client health status and communicate significant clinical findings, concerns, and changes in condition to the appropriate treatment team.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to LPNs regarding client care assignments and nursing activities as appropriate.
• Maintain medications, medical equipment, and clinical supplies according to regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to promote continuity of care and positive treatment outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete all required training and documentation.
