Job summary

Methodist Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, MS, is seeking a patient-focused Rehab Technician for inpatient care. You will work with nurses and therapists to support rehabilitation goals and ensure safe patient transport and ADL assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of direct, hands-on patient care experience.
• Preferred experience as CNA, Nursing Assistant, Rehab Technician, or Therapy Technician.
• Successful completion of Methodist Rehabilitation's orientation and advanced Rehab Technician/Nursing Assistant training after hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients arrive at therapy appointments safely and on time.
• Assist patients with ADLs, including bathing, toileting, eating, dressing.
• Obtain and accurately document vital signs.
• Safely transport patients to and from therapy sessions and other areas as needed.
• Assist licensed nurses with delegated nursing procedures and rehab activities within training scope.
• Support therapists and nursing staff in providing patient-centered care.
• Perform other duties to meet rehab team and patient needs.
