Job summary

Carolinas Rehabilitation Northeast is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, and direct evidence-based SLP services for inpatients. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to restore communication, cognition, and swallowing functions, supporting patients toward independence.

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology with state licensure is required; BLS is also required. Inpatient rehab/acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• State licensure in Speech Language Pathology required.
• BLS certification required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises activities of rehab technicians, students and volunteers involved in administering care.
• Evaluates patients and establishes care plans including modalities, exercises and education.
• Gathers data from medical records and coordinates assistive devices as needed.
• Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, discharge notes and charges.
• Re-evaluates patients and adjusts goals as status changes.
• Communicates progress to physician and coordinates scheduling, discharge planning and problem-solving.
