Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation seeks a compassionate Speech Pathologist to deliver specialized speech-language and swallowing services in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia disorders, developing evidence‐based, individualized care plans.

You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary rehab team to support patient‑centric recovery, educate families, and document outcomes.

Qualifications

• Speech-language pathology credentialing (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation is preferred
• Ability to assess and treat speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia disorders

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders
• Develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab team and educate families
• Document outcomes and progress notes
