Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Moncks Corner, SC is seeking a PRN Inpatient Rehab Registered Nurse to join our collaborative care team. You will assess, plan, implement and coordinate rehab treatments to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include maintaining accountability for assigned patients, assisting with mobility and skin care, coordinating with rehab therapy, administering medications and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or RN Diploma.
• BSN preferred.
• <1 year applicable experience.
• Current RN license in state of practice and/or active compact license.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Assist with mobility and skin care to prevent complications.
• Coordinate with rehab therapy team to optimize functional skills.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.

Job Summary and Qualifications

In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family, and other members of the health care team, the Rehabilitation Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the nursing department. You serve as a key position of the interdependent team, and hold responsibility for achieving positive patient and departmental outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

· You will maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients

· You will assist a patient exercise, provide proper skin care to prevent skin breakdown and ensure patients are properly positioned to prevent further immobility

· You will coordinate with the rehab therapy team to provide acute medical management to improve a patient’s loss of or impairment in functional skills such as: mobility, cognition, activities of daily living and communication

· You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders

· You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
• < 1 year applicable experience
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
