Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Rehab Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement and coordinate patient care, driving positive outcomes within the nursing department.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the rehab therapy team, patient and family education, and adherence to physician orders with room to advance through our national transfer policy.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Less than 1 year applicable experience.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients.
• Assist a patient exercise, provide proper skin care to prevent skin breakdown and ensure patients are properly positioned to prevent further immobility.
• Coordinate with the rehab therapy team to provide acute medical management to improve a patient’s loss of or impairment in functional skills such as mobility, cognition, activities of daily living and communication.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.

Job Summary and Qualifications

In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family, and other members of the health care team, the Rehabilitation Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the nursing department. You serve as a key position of the interdependent team, and hold responsibility for achieving positive patient and departmental outcomes.
