Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy completed and Texas PT license required upon hire.
• Acute care experience is helpful.
• BCLS certification required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• Strong English communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to teach others and provide patient and family education.

Responsibilities

• Performs age-appropriate patient treatment.
• Uses therapeutic techniques appropriate to patient age and treatment goals.
• Performs procedures within the professional license scope.
• Delegates technical procedures safely and accurately.
• Utilizes diverse treatment techniques to achieve goals.
• Assesses patient response to treatment and documents progress.
• Educates patient and family on treatment plan, safety, home programs, and equipment.
• Maintains patient safety throughout treatment.
• Communicates with physicians and healthcare team regarding care.
