Job summary

Memorial Rehabilitation Institute within Memorial Regional Hospital South in Hollywood, FL seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide and coordinate occupational therapy services, helping patients develop, recover and maintain skills.

You will assess patients, plan and document treatment, educate patients and families, supervise assistants, and design individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team to support timely rehabilitation progress.

Qualifications

• Accredited program: Occupational Therapy (Required).
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART).
• Occupational Therapy License (OT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)

Responsibilities

• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition including type and frequency of treatment.
• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards. Mentors peers and students.
• Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the healthcare team as well as the patient/family.
