Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Conduces focused patient assessments and reports changes.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assists in development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
• Documents patient care and observations in the medical record.
• Educates patients and families on health maintenance and post-discharge care.
• Ensures infection control and safety compliance.
• Assists with procedures like wound care, catheterization, and sample collection.
• Participates in orientation and training of staff and students.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Prepares and maintains equipment and supplies for patient care.
• Responds to emergencies and supports code team interventions.
• Supports OR, Cardiac, Endoscopy, Obstetrics, Oncology, Orthopedics, Telemetry, Dialysis, Cath Lab LPN roles as assigned.
