Overview

The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, patient experience, quality and safety, and cost‑effective care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and support services to patients and their families.
• Assume responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, delegation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients, following the professional practice model.
• Direct and supervise nursing care delivered by other members of the patient care team.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Level Degree in Nursing.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited program.
• Current Ohio nursing license or interim permit.
