Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate nursing care, provide direct patient care, and educate patients and families. The RN will support professional nursing practice across settings and participate in quality improvement and leadership roles.

Eligibility for TN sponsorship is noted; flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends may be required. Minimum rate and compensation structure are described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Student or Graduate of a nursing program.
• RN start date documentation for degree completion within five years from start date.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of Mayo Clinic RN experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, computer skills required, EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.
• Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for assigned patients, including direct patient care and patient/family education.
• Support professional nursing practice across settings and continuum of care.
• Lead through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Delegate patient care according to skill level, patient acuity, and resources.
