Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake and referrals for internal and external admissions.
• Handle insurance/managed care authorization and pre-certification functions for each admission.
• Liaise with Care Management and Medical Directors as needed.
• Maintain bed status and patient flow for pediatric and adult inpatient units.
• Utilize the electronic health record to document admissions and referrals.
