Job summary

VCU Health System seeks a BC/BE Psychiatrist to provide clinical psychiatry services in the inpatient unit and participate in teaching and mentorship of residents and medical students.

The role involves clinical care, supervision, scholarly projects with trainees, and active participation on department committees and service activities within the Department of Psychiatry and the Health System.

Qualifications

• Virginia Licensed or eligible, BC/BE Psychiatrist with interest in inpatient psychiatry and training trainees.
• Demonstrated ability to foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: provide psychiatric clinical services in the inpatient unit and ER coverage; may include neuromodulation and ambulatory sites.
• Teaching: supervise and mentor residents, fellows and medical students.
• Service: attend Department Grand Rounds, participate in CME and professional development and other service activities.
• Documentation: complete required in-service and documentation for compliance with regulations and practice standards.
