Job summary

Commonwealth-Medical-Services in Canton, Ohio, seeks an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join a 70+ bed adult behavioral health facility and provide inpatient care on a secondary physician track. You will work with an established multidisciplinary team to evaluate and treat adults, develop treatment plans, monitor medications, and participate in discharge planning. Board eligible/certified psychiatrists with Ohio license encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
• Accredited Psychiatry residency completed.
• Eligible for Ohio medical license.
• Inpatient Psychiatry experience preferred.
• Experience with adult inpatient care preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
• Provide inpatient psychiatric care.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans.
• Manage psychiatric medications and monitor patient response to treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other team members.
• Participate in treatment planning and discharge planning.
• Provide clinical consultation and support as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support continuity and quality of care throughout the inpatient stay.

Location: Canton, OH

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join an established behavioral health program in Canton, Ohio. This opportunity is for a secondary psychiatrist providing inpatient psychiatric care at a 70+ bed adult behavioral health facility.

The psychiatrist will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team to evaluate and treat adult patients requiring inpatient psychiatric services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
