Job summary

CompHealth in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking a psychiatrist to provide inpatient mental health and psychiatric emergency care. The schedule includes 7 days on / 7 days off with 8 am – 6 pm, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, plus overnight call on a 7 on / 7 off basis with very low volume.

You will treat ages 12 and up in inpatient units, community behavioral health, and consult liaison settings with pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy.

Qualifications

• Ages 12 and up — inpatient mental health and psychiatric emergency.
• Inpatient units, community behavioral health, and consult liaison settings.
• Pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy required.
• Involuntary commitment experience required.
• Anxiety, affective, psychotic, personality, and eating disorders required.

Responsibilities

• 7 days on / 7 days off schedule with 40 hrs/week guaranteed.
