The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus invites applications for an Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Attending at UCHealth Tower 3 in Aurora, CO. The Attending will join a multidisciplinary team caring for a 40-bed unit, delivering comprehensive inpatient psychiatry and supervising trainees.
Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, developing treatment plans, monitoring progress, and coordinating discharge planning.
The Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Attending will provide clinical care on the UCHealth Tower 3. The Attending will be a member of a team that covers the 40-bed unit throughout the course of the week. The team will include other inpatient psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, APPs, residents, and medical students. The Attending will oversee the evaluation, treatment, and discharge of their patients during their stay on the unit. They will address their psychiatric and medical conditions as appropriate for their stay. The Attending will collaborate with trainees and carry their own direct care patients. The Attending may also provide ECT for treatment of refractory depression on the adjacent ECT Suite.
