Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital DeRidder, part of Oceans Healthcare, L.L.C., seeks an LPN to provide nursing care for adults and seniors with mental health needs. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to implement patient-centered treatment plans in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, medication administration, and assisting with assessments and care coordination under the supervision of the RN.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid LPN license in good standing.
• Psychiatric or inpatient/outpatient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care for assigned patients under RN supervision.
• Accurately documents findings and communicates with the care team.
• Implements care plans with other providers and physicians.
• Performs bedside nursing tasks and ADLs as needed.
• Promotes coping and adjustment for patients with illness or stressors.
• Provides age-appropriate and culturally sensitive communication.
• Administers medications safely and documents doses.
• Transcribes orders and conducts chart audits per policy.
• Uses nursing resources to support evidence-based practice.
• Precepts and guides new staff; participates in other duties as assigned.
