Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Mental Health Clinician to provide direct clinical evaluation and psychotherapy to inpatients in the Psychiatry unit. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, coordinate care with the care team, and contribute to discharge planning.

Applicants must hold a master’s degree in a related field and an active Vermont license (LCMHC, LICSW, or psychologist).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree minimum in a related field.
• Current State of Vermont License (a valid license is required).
• Training or certification in Case Management, Group Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, DBT, EMDR, or Substance Use Treatment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical mental health evaluation and individual/group psychotherapy for inpatient psychiatry patients.
• Formulate plan of care and coordinate treatment on inpatient psychiatry.
• Update treatment plans and discharge planning with written documentation.
• Coordinate with patient care team and community resources; participate in committees to improve patient care.
