Job summary

Navos, part of MultiCare’s Behavioral Health Network, seeks an Inpatient Psychiatric ARNP to evaluate, diagnose and direct treatment for adults with acute psychiatric disorders in an inpatient setting. The role collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care.

Responsibilities include prescribing psychotropic meds, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating discharge plans. Requires WA RN license, NP license, DEA, BLS, and Lifespan/ANCC-APCN certification.

Qualifications

• A graduate degree from an advanced nursing education program accredited by a national nursing accreditation body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
• An active Washington state RN license, without sanctions or restrictions
• State NP license
• Current CME hours to maintain licensure
• Adult/Gerontologic Psychiatry and/or Lifespan Certification of Completion from the American Nurse Credentialing Center or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners
• Registration capability with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
• An active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients 18 years or older with acute psychiatric disorders requiring inpatient hospitalization
• Conduct suicide and violence risk assessments
• Formulate and implement comprehensive and evidence-based treatment plans
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications
• Order laboratory tests as indicated
• Manage acute behavioral emergencies with behavioral and pharmacologic interventions
• Lead treatment team meetings and coordinate activity of the interdisciplinary team, including primary care providers, social workers, RNs, and other team members
• Consult with primary care providers and other clinicians to facilitate evaluation and treatment of medical conditions
• Collaborate with Social Workers and Court Evaluators to assess readiness for discharge and formulate discharge plans
• Document in the electronic medical record
