Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord seeks a PM&R Physician to lead inpatient care, evaluating and planning treatments to maximize recovery for patients with severe illnesses or injuries. Collab­orate with a diverse team of physicians, therapists, and nurses to drive functional independence and safe discharge home.

The role features a Monday–Friday schedule, a caseload of 20–25 patients, and occasional after-hours call coverage to ensure continuous patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with state medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
• Patient-centered commitment to excellence
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Hospital-based physiatry experience preferred
• New Grads Welcome

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in inpatient PM&R setting
• Diagnose and plan treatment to maximize recovery
• Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team
• Provide option to perform simple invasive procedures
• Contribute to discharge planning and home function goals

Education

MD/DO with state medical license

Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R

Willingness to obtain state license

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
