Encompass Health CHI St. Joseph Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Bryan, TX is seeking a full-time PM&R Associate Medical Director to lead inpatient rehabilitation services and partner with the Medical Director and executive team.

The role focuses on quality, patient satisfaction, and program growth, with opportunities to develop private practice and coordinate with hospitalist teams. New grads welcome; board certification in PM&R preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with a valid state medical license
• Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (or eligibility)
• Commitment to patient-centered care and excellence
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Hospital-based physiatry experience preferred but not required
• Interest in being part of a thriving Bryan community

Responsibilities

• Lead program quality and integrity of inpatient rehabilitation services
• Collaborate with Medical Director and leadership to optimize clinical care
• Partner with hospital CEO to position the hospital as the rehab choice in the service area
• Build relationships with market specialists to facilitate referrals and access
• Develop visibility and approachability within staff, patients, and families
• Establish a private practice and coordination with billing independently
