Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital - Tucson is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. The role involves conducting initial and ongoing patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and supervising PTAs and students within a fast-paced setting.

This position offers an hourly rate of $59 with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Opportunities for advancement exist, with eligibility for benefits after meeting program requirements.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) is required.
• Certified BLS or obtain it within 90 days of employment is required.
• Strong ability to assess patients and develop effective treatment plans is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Set goals and develop treatment plans.
• Identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Supervise PTAs and PT/PTA students.
• Conduct individual therapy regimens.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Complete documentation per department policies.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
