The role is part-time with morning hours preferred and requires current enrollment as a high school Junior or Senior. No prior experience is required, and duties include collaboration with teammates and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a program that awards a high school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required for Youth Apprentice program.
• Morning hours preferred to maximize learning opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate effective communication and collaboration with teammates.
• Develop competency in dispensing and medication delivery, including information systems and automation used for dispensing and storage.
• Perform prescription processing tasks: obtain patient info, data entry, record keeping, insurance verification and label generation.
• Follow policies to comply with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in non-sterile and sterile compounding per USP guidelines.
• Adhere to department safety practices and Youth Apprentice program requirements.
• Travel between pharmacy locations as needed.
