Job summary

University of Washington is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Inpatient Pharmacy Team at UW Medical Center-Montlake in Seattle. This part-time role (20 hours/week) operates during the day shift under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.
• Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program is preferred.
• State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications from physician orders or labels, including sterile products.
• Load and refill PYXIS automated dispensing cabinets.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and clinics, and return discontinued meds as needed.
• Package medications into single-dose units and perform bulk packaging of compounded products.
• Ensure medications are in-date; perform monthly outdate checks and inventory checks.
