Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.
• State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification

Responsibilities

• Work in IV room and compound IV medications per USP 797 standards.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and other hospital areas.
• Package medications in single-unit packages.
• Restock shelves in unit dose fill and front counter areas.
• Perform bulk compounding of medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Triage clinical inquiries requiring pharmacist judgment.
• Answer inquiries not requiring pharmacist judgment.
• Fill medications for automated dispensing cabinet refills hospital-wide.
• Handle, dispense and deliver hazardous drugs per USP 800 standards.
