Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the inpatient pharmacy team on a full-time 13-week contract with potential extension or conversion. You will assist with dispensing under pharmacist supervision, manage unit-dose carts, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care while maintaining compliance with hospital policies.

CPht certification and inpatient experience are required; Omnicell experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Inpatient hospital experience is required.
• Proficient use of electronic health records for medication administration.
• Strong attention to regulatory and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense inpatient medications accurately under pharmacist supervision.
• Inventory management of sterile and non-sterile pharmacy supplies on unit.
• Verify patient prescriptions for accuracy and completeness prior to dispensing.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital policies for med handling.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to optimize patient care and throughput.
• Document medication administration and dispensing actions in the electronic health record.
• Assist with unit-based medication storage, labeling, and secure handling.
• Engage in continuous learning to develop clinical knowledge and skills.
• Monitor medication usage patterns and flag potential shortages or errors.
• Assist in the preparation of unit dose carts and bedside delivery.
• Support performance metrics by contributing to pipeline forecasting and target tracking.
• Maintain a high-visibility role by communicating activity and outcomes to supervisors.
