Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas’ Moore Regional Hospital pharmacy team seeks a dedicated pharmacy technician to assist inpatient pharmacists in preparing medications and ensuring safe, efficient medication management services that support patient care.

This role requires attention to detail, strong communication and computer literacy, high school level math, and a willingness to rotate through an evening shift once a week and every third weekend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Eligible to obtain PTCB technician certification within 18 months.
• Computer literacy and strong math skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills; patient and internal customer focus.
• Good hearing, vision, and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work well with others and meet internal customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Sterile compounding.
• Non-sterile drug compounding.
• Pharmacy inventory duties (stocking, rotation of stock, outdate checking, etc.).
• Medication distribution.
• Preparing patient-specific medications.
• Stocking and inventory management of Omnicell automated drug cabinets.
• Emergency drug kit preparation.

Moore Regional Hospital’s pharmacy team seeks a dedicated professional to assist inpatient pharmacists in preparing medications and ensuring safe and efficient medication management services that enhance the patient experience.

A great work ethic, strong communication & people skills and computer literacy are essential qualities for the successful candidate along with solid math skills (high school level). Position rotates through one evening shift per week and every 3rd weekend.

Responsibilities

FirstHealth’s inpatient pharmacy technicians perform a wide range of tasks that include, but are not limited to:

• sterile compounding
• non-sterile drug compounding
• pharmacy inventory duties (stocking, rotation of stock, outdate checking, etc.)
• medication distribution
• preparing patient-specific medications
• stocking and inventory management of Omnicell automated drug cabinets
• emergency drug kit preparation

Qualifications

Qualifications (required):
