Job summary

The Certified Pharmacy Technician I-IV at JPS Health Network assists pharmacists in storing, preparing, distributing, reconciling, and charging medications and other healthcare products across the hospital's pharmacy services. The technician works under pharmacist supervision and follows Texas State Board of Pharmacy rules.

Responsibilities include labeling medications, tracking orders, maintaining patient confidentiality, managing inventory, and supporting unit dose readiness and cashier tasks

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• National certification through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Preference for sterile compounding certification.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepares and labels medications, with pharmacist final check before dispensing.
• Track prescription orders to ensure correct delivery information to patients.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and manage inventory.
• Replenish stock in dispensing systems and assist in unit dose readiness.
• Perform routine ADS tasks and cashier functions while ensuring compliance with policies.

Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Graduate from a pharmacy technology program
