Job summary

Bayhealth Medical Center in Kent Campus, Dover, is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician III to join the pharmacy team. The role involves distribution, compounding, inventory management, chemotherapy/oncology support, and operating RIVA robotics under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with 4 years of pharmacy technician experience and certifications in sterile compounding or hazardous drug management within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Credential(s): Sterile Compounding Certification within 12 Months OR Hazardous Drug Management Certificate within 12 Months.
• Experience: 4 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing accurate patient-specific medications and dose preparation.
• Maintain inventory and replenish automated distribution cabinets.
• Support sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling per USP 797/800.
• Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy information systems and RIVA robotics.
• Train staff and participate in continuous quality and safety improvements.
