Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician II to support the inpatient pharmacy. The role involves dispensing medications, restocking ADCs, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and ensuring patient safety aligned with Kentucky laws and hospital policies.

You will collaborate with pharmacists and nursing staff, participate in quality initiatives, mentor students, and assist with inventory management and investigations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Formal Pharmacy Technician program and/or an Associate degree preferred.
• Eligibility for Technician II designation within hospital pharmacy.
• Registered as a pharmacy technician in Kentucky required.
• Board certification by PTCB or NHA required.

Responsibilities

• Distributes medications to secure storage or administration locations.
• Restocks automated dispensing cabinets (ADC).
• Compounds sterile and non-sterile products as assigned.
• Communicates with hospital staff and performs nursing unit and inventory inspections.
• Monitors for safety and accuracy; reports discrepancies to leadership.
