Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Fountain Valley, CA, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the inpatient pharmacy team at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. You will monitor and triage pharmacy communications, assist in preparing medications for dispensing, and support inventory management and recordkeeping.

This full-time, days shift role offers competitive pay between $27.80 and $40.32 per hour, with potential shift incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting (preferred).
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in compounded sterile products preparation and procedures (preferred).
• Graduated from a Pharmacy Technician Training Program (preferred).
• Current California Registered Pharmacy Technician license (required).
• Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certificate (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and triages Pharmacy communications
• Prepares medication for dispensation from the Pharmacy
• Participates in maintaining inventory management and proper recordkeeping
• Delivers medication to appropriate units or automated dispensing machines
• Maintains the integrity of all medication received, stored, prepared, or dispensed from the Pharmacy
• Ability to be at work and be on time
• Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives
• Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
